The Amazing Castle
Coming to the BFK September 21 – January 4!
The Building for Kids is excited to be opening new traveling exhibit, The Amazing Castle™, on Sunday, September 21!
In this exhibit, families will be immersed in a magical castle village, learning what it’s like to be a part of a medieval community. Featuring costumes, props, and everyday roles in a medieval society, The Amazing Castle encourages role-playing and collaboration as kids and their grown-ups work side by side to build a thriving village.
Become a tailor, carpenter, or blacksmith in the Royal Workshops; gather vegetables from the garden; and prepare a hearty stew in the Great Hall. Plus, don’t forget to solve the puzzle to wake Herald, the sleeping dragon, atop his tower!
In celebration of this exhibit, we’re also offering a variety themed events and opportunities:
- Member Preview Night: On September 19, members are invited to be among the first to explore The Amazing Castle, with this after-hours event exclusively for members.
- Royal Birthday Parties: From September 27 – January 4, you can book a Royal Birthday Party to have a castle-themed party experience.
- Night at the Castle: On October 4 – 5 we’re hosting a lock-in at the BFK! During this overnight event, we’ll have dinner and themed activities before you can find a cozy spot to sleep for the night.
- Building for Grown-ups: Medieval Knight: On November 8, grown-ups will take over the BFK during this medieval-themed adult-only sponsored by TDS Telecom.
- The Amazing Castle Field Trips: Are you a teacher? Book an Amazing Castle themed field trip!
The Amazing Castle traveling exhibit will be open until January 4, 2025. It will be in our Exhibit Gallery located near Station 99 and Construction Junction.
