Night at the Art Museum

Friday, October 2: 5:00pm – Saturday, October 3: 7:00am

Night at the Art Museum brings art, exploration and after-hours play together for an overnight experience at the BFK. Enjoy creative activities, explore the museum after closing, and make special memories inspired by Framed: Step Into Art™.

Please bring your own sleeping bags, pillows, comforters, and/or anything else you else you will need for sleeping. Please note that each group must have at least one adult spending the night with them. This event is $15 for members and $25 for non-members.

Character Playdate with Paddington Bear

Friday, October 9: 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Calling all adventurers, explorers, and Paddington fans! Paddington Bear is making a stop at the Building for Kids, and you’re invited! This character playdate, sponsored by Speedy Clean, will include exclusive, after-hours playtime, themed activities, storytimes, pizza, and lots of opportunities to meet the storybook star.

Sensory-Friendly Option: Designed for families in the autism community, we also have a sensory friendly option to meet Paddington Bear on Wednesday, October 7. This event is free for families in the autism community.

Character Playdate with Paddington Bear

Children’s Wisconsin Free Night: Featuring Teddy Bear Urgent Care

Friday, October 16: 5:00pm – 7:00pm

On Friday, October 16 from 5 – 7pm, the Building for Kids will transform into a Teddy Bear Urgent Care during a FREE night hosted by Children’s Wisconsin! Bring your teddy bear or stuffed animals for a check-up, participate in themed activities, and enjoy a free evening of play in the museum.
Parents will receive resources from Children’s Wisconsin, each child will take home a free teddy bear keychain, and their stuffed animal friends will earn a sticker for being so brave during their visit!
This event is free for all families, and no pre-registration is required.

Halloween Bash

Saturday, October 31: 9:00am – 4:00pm

Join us on Saturday, October 31 for our Halloween Bash, sponsored by Petit & Dommershausen and Children’s Dental Health Center, a spook-tacular day at the BFK! Enjoy themed activities and showing off your Halloween costumes!

This themed day is free with a BFK membership or the paid price of general admission.

Art Heist: Building for Grown-Ups

Friday, November 6: 6:00pm – 10:00pm

A long-lost masterpiece is finally ready to make its grand debut, and you’re invited to witness the unveiling! But before it can be revealed to the public, the painting vanishes without a trace, leaving behind only a cryptic message from the thief. Can you help solve the mystery?
Join us on November 6 from 6 – 10pm for our next Building for Grown-ups event, sponsored by Amano Print House. During this adult-only night, the museum will transform into the scene of an art heist, and it’s up to you to complete challenges, follow clues, and work together to uncover the truth behind the missing masterpiece.
As you work to solve the mystery, enjoy a catered dinner and cash bar. At 9pm, the thief will be revealed! Then, you are invited to stay for the after party until 10pm, where you can celebrate with drinks, dancing, and plenty of time to explore the museum with your fellow detectives.
This event costs $40 per person and pre-registration is required. Sign up with a group of 6 or more people for 25% off all of your tickets. Building for Grown-ups is for ages 21+ and an ID will be required at check-in.
