Member Preview Night: Power Up
Friday, May 29: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
BFK members are invited to be the first to experience Power Up, our new exhibit sponsored by U.S. Venture! Join us for Member Preview Night on Friday, May 29 from 5 – 7pm to enjoy pizza, playtime, and the opportunity to explore the exhibit before it opens to the public on May 30.
All BFK members are welcome! This event is free, but registration is encouraged.

Teen’s Night Out: Summer Bash
Tuesday, June 2: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Our next Teen’s Night Out is Tuesday, June 2 from 6 – 8pm! Join us for Summer Bash, where teens will kick off summer with a night at the BFK. Throughout the evening, they will have the opportunity to explore the museum, build lava lamps in The Lab, and make friendship bracelets in The Studio. There will also be time to enjoy a snack from our snack bar, socialize, and make new friends!
This is a free event, but registration is encouraged.

Dino Day in Downtown Appleton
Saturday, June 6: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Enjoy a roar‑some day of dino fun in downtown Appleton on Saturday, June 6!
From 9am – 4pm, we’re hosting Dino Day at the BFK, sponsored by Festival Foods. Stomp into a day of dino‑themed activities, like creating artwork with footprint stamps, digging for dinos in kinetic sand, and building erupting volcanoes in The Lab. Plus, embrace your inner paleontologist as you embark on a dino scavenger hunt and search for dinosaurs hiding throughout the museum.
At the History Museum at the Castle, meet paleontologist Amelia in the Prehistoric Wisconsin exhibit and get hands-on with real fossils from 10am – 12pm and 1 – 3pm. Touch dinosaur bones, ask your burning paleontology questions, and dig into the past!
Each museum’s activities are free with the paid price of general admission.

BFK Children’s Parade
Wednesday, July 22: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
You’re invited to participate in the 17th Annual BFK Children’s Parade, presented by ThedaCare! During the parade, children and their grown-ups stroll through downtown Appleton with themed costumes, props, and non-motorized floats.
The parade kicks off in Houdini Plaza at 6pm. After the parade, join us in City Park for the after-party. Enjoy free activities, entertainment, food trucks, and an award ceremony!
