Science of Magic
Saturday, May 9: 9:00am – 4:00pm
To celebrate Appleton’s Year of Houdini, we’re hosting a special themed day on May 9 from 9am – 4pm, all about the science of magic! Between 9am – 1pm, International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 398 will join us to perform live magic shows and teach families magic tricks. Plus, throughout the day, we’ll have opportunities to create magic‑inspired art in The Studio and chemical reaction magic tricks in The Lab.
This event is free with the paid price of general admission or a BFK membership. No pre-registration is required.

Planes, Cranes, and Automobiles
Saturday, May 16: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Buckle in because we’re gearing up for Planes, Cranes, and Automobiles—a day all about exploring the wonders of transportation at the BFK!! Join us on Saturday, May 16 from 9am – 4pm for a transportation-themed day and enjoy hands-on activities, including a vehicle scavenger hunt, making vehicles with Rigamajig building kits, designing and decorating boats and cars with a variety of creative materials, and exploring ways to make vehicles move using ramps in The Lab.

Member Preview Night: Power Up
Friday, May 29: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
BFK members are invited to be the first to experience Power Up, our new exhibit sponsored by U.S. Venture! Join us for Member Preview Night on Friday, May 29 from 5 – 7pm to enjoy pizza, playtime, and the opportunity to explore the exhibit before it opens to the public on May 30.
All BFK members are welcome! This event is free, but registration is encouraged.

Dino Day
Saturday, June 6: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Join us Saturday, June 6 for Dino Day, sponsored by Festival Foods, and enjoy a prehistoric adventure at the BFK! Stomp into a day of dino‑themed activities, like creating artwork with footprint stamps, digging for dinos in kinetic sand, and building erupting volcanoes in The Lab. Plus, embrace your inner paleontologist as you embark on a dino scavenger hunt and search for dinosaurs hiding throughout the museum.

BFK Children’s Parade
Wednesday, July 22: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
You’re invited to participate in the 17th Annual BFK Children’s Parade, presented by ThedaCare! During the parade, children and their grown-ups stroll through downtown Appleton with themed costumes, props, and non-motorized floats.
The parade kicks off in Houdini Plaza at 6pm. After the parade, join us in City Park for the after-party. Enjoy free activities, entertainment, food trucks, and an award ceremony!
