Book a field trip to the Building for Kids! Designed for kids of all ages, field trips include hands-on, interactive experiences, while encouraging self-directed discovery, exploration, and creativity. Field trips must be booked at least 1 week in advance and are for groups of 15 or more students.

Museum Explorers field trips are designed for students of all ages, from preschool to middle school! During your field trip, you’ll enjoy access to the following:
Two Floors of Exhibits
Enjoy 30,000 square feet of hands-on exhibits, including a 10-foot heart slide, firetruck, doll hospital, and many more!
STEM Experiments in The Lab
The Lab features varying STEM challenges using the Ask-Think-Learn-Share method. Put on a lab coat and test your STEM skills during your visit!
Art Activities in The Studio
Each day, we have facilitated art activities in The Studio. Join in and create an artistic masterpiece during your visit!
Lunchrooms
Want to eat lunch at the museum? Lunchrooms are available during your field trip for up to 120 people (reservation required when booking)

Cost
The cost of your field trip is determined by the amount of students you bring. Teachers and chaperones are free!
| 15 – 50 students | $200 |
| 51 – 100 students | $400 |
| 101 – 150 students | $600 |
Additional Information
- Our quiet space (The Space Station) is located on the 2nd floor on the way to the Mielke Family Theater. Sensory resources, such as calm down kits, decision boards, times, and active seating options, are available throughout the museum. Ask Welcome Desk for more information.
