The Building for Kids is seeking volunteers Tuesday through Sunday for the following roles:
Art Studio Assistant:
- Cultivate your creativity in the BFK’s art studio! In this space, you will interact with families as they create their masterpieces. Volunteer activities may include assisting kids and families with projects, finding and refilling supplies, cleaning and tidying workspaces, and prepping materials for projects. Weekday and weekend opportunities available.
Innovation STEM Lab Assistant:
- Activate your inner engineer or scientist in the BFK’s Innovation Lab! In this space, you will interact with families as they explore and discover. Volunteer activities may include assisting kids and families with activities or exhibits, cleaning and tidying tables, and prepping materials for activities. Weekday and weekend opportunities available.
Explorer Camp Assistant:
- Explorer Camps are weekend and after-school drop-off programs designed to provide learning opportunities beyond the classroom. The BFK is seeking volunteers to assist the Youth Education Coordinator in setting up the classroom, assisting campers with their projects, and cleaning up. Camps are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00 – 6:00pm and Saturdays 9:00 – 11:00am and 1:00 – 3:00pm.
Practice your photography skills at the BFK! The BFK is seeking volunteer photographers to capture photos of our daily operations as well as special programs and events. These photos will then be used for marketing and promotional purposes. Volunteers can use the BFK camera or their own. Weekday and weekend opportunities available. No consistent schedule required.
