Members are invited to check out our upcoming traveling exhibit, The Amazing Castle™, before it opens to the public! Enjoy some exclusive, afterhours playtime while being among the firsts to explore the new exhibit. In honor of Member Appreciation Month, this event is free and only open to BFK members.
Not a member? Feel free to become a member here or join us for our public opening day on September 21!
Join us for Rhythms of the World Free Day and enjoy a celebration of multicultural music and dance from around the world! Admission will be free for everyone from 9am – 4pm.
No pre-registration is required.
We bid thee welcome to Night at the Castle, an overnight lock-in event in honor of The Amazing Castle™ traveling exhibit! Embark on an immersive journey to The Amazing Castle followed by a slumber within our museum walls. The evening shall commence with a hearty supper and a bounty of merry pastimes, including a quest for dragon eggs, telling tales, brewing potions, castle-building contests, and more. When the revels have ended, you can choose a cozy spot to sleep in the museum and retire for the night!
This event costs $15 for members and $25 for non-members.
Llama Llama is coming to the BFK for a PJ party! Wear your favorite PJs, and join us for after-hours playtime, themed activities, storytimes, pizza, and lots of opportunities to meet Llama Llama in his red pajamas! This event is sponsored by Festival Foods and costs $5 for members and $15 for non-members.
Sensory Friendly option: Designed for families in the autism community, we also have a sensory friendly option to meet Llama Llama on Wednesday, October 8. This event is free for families in the autism community.

Join us at the BFK for Early Explorers on Tuesdays or Saturdays at 10am! During Early Explorers, a museum educator facilitates activities that are aimed to strengthen the relationship between children and grown-ups, develop motor skills, and connect socially. This program is free with the paid price of general admission.

Welcome Baby Play Groups are informal opportunities to play and socialize with other new families in our Babies & Toddlers Around the World exhibit.
