Clay Day
Saturday, April 25: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Join us on Saturday, April 25 from 9am – 4pm for opportunities to make creations out of clay! Assemble clay mosaics, create pinch pots, and decorate your clay creations in The Studio. Plus, learn about Mesopotamian building techniques in The Lab and challenge yourself to build the tallest tower using only sticks and clay.

Teen’s Night Out
Tuesday, April 28: 6:30 – 8:00pm
Join us on Tuesday, April 28 for Teen’s Night Out at the Building for Kids! During this free event for teens, attendees will get to:
- Socialize, make new friends, and spend time exploring our exhibits
- Create clay masterpieces and other art projects
- Make slime and Oobleck
- Enjoy snacks from a snack bar
Grab a group of friends and get signed up for a fun night out! This event is free, but registration is encouraged.

Science of Magic
Saturday, May 9: 9:00am – 4:00pm
As a part of Appleton’s Year of Houdini celebration, the Building for Kids Children’s Museum will welcome the International Brotherhood of Magicians for a special themed day exploring the science of magic! Join us on Saturday, May 9 to enjoy live magic shows in our Theater, dive into the fascinating world of Harry Houdini, and discover how famous magicians use science, engineering, and psychology to create illusions. Plus, conduct your own magic tricks using the scientific method in our Lab and create magical art projects in our Studio!

Planes, Cranes, and Automobiles
Saturday, May 16: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Buckle in because we’re gearing up for Planes, Cranes, and Automobiles—a day all about exploring the wonders of transportation at the BFK!! Join us on Saturday, May 16 from 9am – 4pm for a transportation-themed day and enjoy hands-on activities, including a vehicle scavenger hunt, making vehicles with Rigamajig building kits, designing and decorating boats and cars with a variety of creative materials, and exploring ways to make vehicles move using ramps in The Lab.
