Mother’s Day at the BFK
Sunday, May 11: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Join us on Mother’s Day for an event celebrating mothers and mother-figures! In partnership with Boldt, we’re offering moms FREE admission.
Throughout the day, families can create tasty treats in Food to Grow, make paper in The Lab, turn that paper into handprint art, floral creations, and Mother’s Day cards in The Studio, and participate in a photo scavenger hunt around the museum. Take home your artwork and family photos as keepsakes of the special day shared with mom!
Father’s Day at the BFK
Sunday, June 15: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Join us on Father’s Day for an event celebrating fathers and father-figures! We’re offering dads FREE admission.
Throughout the day, families can make handprint art and Father’s Day cards in The Studio and participate in a photo scavenger hunt around the museum. Take home your artwork and family photos as keepsakes of the special day shared with dad!
Dino Day
Saturday, June 21: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Dig into the past for a prehistoric adventure on Dino Day!
On June 21, we’ll have dino themed activities in The Studio, The Lab, and Food to Grow, plus a dino scavenger hunt around the museum.

These play groups occur every Thursday at 10am at the Building for Kids. This is a free opportunity for parents and their babies under 18 months.

Connecting Events occur the second Saturday of every month in-person at the Building for Kids. Sensory Superstars Sensory Superstars

Sensory Superstars consists of a lower-sensory environment at the museum – lower lighting, no music, and certain exhibits will be turned off. This program may also include guests, resources, and sensory-friendly activities. Sensory Superstars occurs the third Sunday of every month from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and is free to families in the Autism community.
