Family Access Memberships

Family Access Memberships allow families experiencing financial hardships to access safe, play-based learning opportunities at the Building for Kids. This membership has a sliding scale, so families can find the right price for their family. Fill out a membership form or give us a call at 920-734-3226 to start setting up your Family Access Membership.

Requirements:

Family Access Memberships require documents showing financial need. Examples of approved documentation includes WIC, Head Start, verification of state or federal assistance or a referral from a local non-profit. Click here for a full list of approved documentation. Family Access Memberships are for families that live within a 45 mile radius of the BFK.

Guest Add-on $25

With this option, you can bring along one unnamed guest per visit, such as a child’s friend, additional adult, or caregiver. Not valid on reciprocal visits. Only one add-on per membership. Available with a Family Membership.

ASTC/ACM Reciprocal Benefits

With ASTC/ACM Reciprocal Benefits you can receive free or discounted general admission to hundreds of participating institutions across the country in the Association of Children’s Museums Reciprocal Network or Association of Science Technology Centers Travel Passport Program.

• ACM: get 50% off general admission for up to six (6) people at children’s museums participating in the network
• ASTC: get free general admission to science centers & museums located outside 90 miles of your residence and the science center or museum where you are a member. For a list of zip codes that are within 90 miles of the BFK and cannot use ASTC benefits, click here.

Monthly Memberships

Monthly memberships require automatic renewal. You can cancel your monthly membership at any time after an initial 6 month period by contacting us at 920-734-3226. 

Membership Discounts

A discount is available on the Family Membership for educators. This 25% off discount is available to home-schooling parents (with a copy of official D.P.I. form) and teachers (with school employee I.D.) These can be purchased at the Welcome Desk with valid required I.D. or over the phone (920-734-3226) with a verification at your first visit.

Give the Gift of Membership

Give the gift of a year-long adventure! Gift Memberships are available for any annual membership. You can buy Gift Memberships right online, at our Welcome Desk, or over the phone (920-734-3226).

Already paid for the day, but now you’re wishing for a Membership?

With your receipt, daily admission (paid for individuals who will be covered under the Membership) can be credited toward the same-day purchase of a Membership. This is a great way to give the Building for Kids Membership a test run!

Memberships do not count toward field trips or birthday party admissions.

Welcome Baby Community Memberships

First time parents can receive a FREE membership to the Building for Kids for the first 18 months of their child’s life by joining the Welcome Baby Community! The Welcome Baby Community was created to support the needs of first time parents in the Fox Valley region.
