Discovery Tree

About the Discovery Tree

The Discovery Tree, sponsored by the John J. & Ethel D. Keller Fund within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, is a two-story, immersive exhibit that invites children to climb, explore, and imagine high above the museum floor. The exhibit is designed to:

  • Promote gross motor development and spatial awareness through climbing nets, bridges, and elevated tree forts.
  • Encourage imaginative play and self-directed discovery in a nature-inspired environment that feels like a rainforest canopy.
  • Support social-emotional learning by fostering confidence, independence, and cooperative play among peers.
