Host your child’s birthday party or a gathering for any occasion at the Building for Kids! When you celebrate with us, you get your own party room, a whole day of access to our two floors of hands-on exhibits for all of your guests, and more! Enjoy a stress-free party experience because you won’t have to plan activities, and we’ll take care of the set-up and clean-up.

We offer a variety of party packages, so you can choose what works best for you!
BFK Party
- Exclusive access to 1 party room for a 90-minute rental, with an additional 15 minutes before the party for set-up. You may bring your own food and drink, as well as decorations.
- Tables and seating for all of your guests
- Full-day museum admission for up to 25 guests (including both adults and children). Additional guests can be added for an extra charge. Admission is for the full day, so guests can play before and after the party
- Personalized birthday shout-out on our external sign
- Birthday photo station with backdrop and props so you can capture fun birthday memories!
- A BFK staff member will take care of the setup and cleanup

BFK Party Plus
Want us to take care of the food and cake? Our BFK Party Plus package not only includes everything in the BFK Party Package, but also:
- 5 one-topping pizzas
- A personalized 1/2 sheet birthday cake
- Juice boxes
- Plates, cups, and utensils
Members: $300 | Non-Members: $350
Royal Party
This castle-themed party experience has everything in our BFK Party Plus package, but special perks include:
- 30 minutes of private access and a guided orientation to The Amazing Castle exhibit
- A themed photo station with medieval dress-up clothes and props
- A royal parade through the museum featuring the birthday guest of honor and their noble entourage
- A themed birthday cake
- A royal birthday shoutout on our external sign
Members: $350 | Non-Members: $400
Private, After-Hours Party
Whether it’s for a birthday party, family reunion, anniversary, corporate party, you can have the museum to yourself with an after-hours party, which includes:
- 2 hours of private access to the whole museum
- Admission for up to 100 guests (for events over 100 people, give us a call)
- Access to our 3 classrooms (where you can set up food, activities or use as a gathering space)
Members: $650 | Non-Members: $725
Additional Information
- Arrival: Your guests will check in at the welcome desk. Any party guest is free to arrive early and play in the museum before (and after) your reserved time in the party room.
- Food, Beverages, & Cake: Pizza and cake is only included in the BFK Party Plus package; however, regardless of which package you choose, you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages.
- Party Activities: The best part about a BFK birthday party is you won’t need to plan activities because you’ll spend most of the time playing in the museum! If you want to organize games or activities, you are welcome to do so in your party room during your reserved time. Remember that you and your guests can stay and play in the museum until close, as only your use of the party room is time restricted.
- Decorations & Tableware: You are welcome to bring your own decorations to use inside your party room. We’ll provide plates, cups, and utensils for the Birthday Party Plus package, but you can bring your own as well.
