Check out the volunteer opportunities offered by Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, an organization that provides nutritious food to children, families, veterans, and older adults facing hunger through its network of nearly 600 food pantry partners and trusted community-based programs across 35 counties.
Volunteering at Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin
Volunteering is a meaningful way to support Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin’s mission. From sorting and packing food to assisting with distribution, volunteers play a critical role in helping serve communities with dignity and care.
Families looking to volunteer with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin can sign up for volunteer shifts! Duties may include:
- Repacking bulk products into family-friendly portions
- Labeling products
- Sorting and quality control
- Assembly line work
Volunteer shifts are open to ages 10 and up. Volunteers who are 10 – 16 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their shift.

Other Ways to Support
Another way that families and kids of all ages can help address food insecurity in our community is by collecting and donating non-perishable food items! You can always make your own donations to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin’s Appleton Campus located at 2911 W Evergreen Drive.

Thrivent offers additional resources to make your volunteer experience easier! If you’re a Thrivent Member, you’re eligible to organize a Thrivent Action Team to get started on a community project of your choice.
