Enjoy your exclusive after hours camp-in by exploring the museum. Participate in a scavenger hunt, join a self-guided art activity in the DaVinci Studio, bring your favorite movies to watch in the Meilke Family Theater or plan your own group activities. When the lights go out, the children roll out their sleeping bags throughout the museum.
Overnights are great for everyone including; school, church or scout groups and even family and birthday celebrations! Lock-ins are available to children age 12 and younger and their adult chaperones. An adult ratio of 1:10 is required.
Overnights run Friday 6:00 pm to Saturday 8:30 am, or Saturday 6:00 pm to Sunday 8:30 am.
Fun and adventures await each and every member of your lock-in party! The cost is $15 per child with a $500 minimum. Chaperones are free. Groups may not exceed 150 children.
The Building for Kids provides a resource person who will stay overnight with your group. Our staff member can lead an orientation, a museum scavenger hunt and answer questions about our facility. Adults with your group are expected to supervise the children at all times. Group leaders should schedule their group's lock-ins as soon as possible to allow enough planning time.
