The Building for Kids is the ideal choice when
planning an outing for your Girl Scout troop. From
exploring our hands-on exhibits to participating in
guided Badge and Try-It workshops, The Building
for Kids invites girls to build their imagination,
creativity, and confidence!
Junior Girl Scout badge/Brownie try-it sessions can be scheduled by calling The Building for Kids. We offer badge and try-it sessions on Saturdays 8:30-10:00 a.m.. Fees for Badges and Try-Its are listed
per girl and include: Staff guided workshops and all
materials. Troop leaders must
purchase actual patches.

You must bring two clothing items to decorate (T-shirt, jeans, etc.).
We'll work on friendship, fashion, and flair!
Ceramics & Clay $12

Private Girl Scout OvernightsClimb inside a giant heart, create a masterpiece in our DaVinci studio, and giggle yourself to sleep in our tree house- all at your private overnight at The Building for Kids. Overnights run Friday or Saturday 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. Fees are $15.00 per girl with a $500.00 minimum. A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required 30 days before date, with the balance due the day of the event. To make your evening even MORE exciting, book a staff guided Badge and Try-It overnight and explore the museum as never before! Fee depends on the cost of Badge/ Try-it selected.
For smaller troops or individual Daisies, Brownies, and Girl Scouts, The Building for Kids has 3 Deluxe Overnights scheduled for you to join. These overnights do not require a minimum number of girls or a minimum dollar amount to sign up. These are strictly "girls only" - No boys allowed! Fun!
Saturday, 12/4/10 "The Gift of Giving" Overnight
This special holiday season overnight will include several gift-making projects including jewelry, a T-shirt, an ornament, paper crafts, gift tags, and much more. Girls will enjoy an evening pizza snack with hot chocolate and a tasty breakfast to go in the morning.
Saturday, 3/19/11 "Pop, Fizzle, & Splat "
This fun and creative overnight will include lots of hands-on projects in DaVinci Studio including making very cool skin-softening bath salts, turning pennies into gold and silver, making amazing crystals and glowing putty, plus lots more. Each girl will get her own "Take Me Home and Dazzle My Friends" bag. Overnight includes an evening pizza snack and a tasty breakfast to go in the morning.
Friday, 4/1/11 "April Fools "
This silly spring overnight will include several ridiculous activities. We encourage girls to come dressed in funny outfits - like spikey hair, 2 different socks, clothes on backwards, or any other "foolish" get-up. We'll have a "Foolish Fashion Runway". There will be lots of funny and silly activities and projects for the girls. Girls will enjoy an evening breakfast, and a bedtime snack to go in the morning.

Sleep inside our fire truck, splash the night away in our water room, plus meet new friends all at our 5-Course overnights!
