Your new membership card will be mailed to your home. If you wish to visit before you receive your card, just tell the associate at the Welcome Center - they can look it up in the computer.
If you purchase a Preferred Family Membership and will be traveling in the next couple days, please tell us, and we can prepare your card while you wait.

Annual Membership Benefits

Categories of Membership
Four categories of annual membership let you choose your level of support.
Child: $70
Membership benefits apply to one specific child and any one adult accompanying him or her.
Grandparent: $80
Membership benefits apply to two grandparents residing in the same house and all their grandchildren.
Family: $115
Membership benefits apply to two adults and all children younger than 18 years old in their household.
Preferred Family: $135
This is a Family Membership and more! The Building for Kids is a member of 2 national museum organizations: The Association of Children's Museums (ACM) and the Association of Science-Technology Centers Incorporated (ASTC). ACM includes more than 150 children's museums all over the U.S. ASTC member museums include more than 300 science museums. With your Preferred Family Membership, you also receive free admission at ACM and ASTC member museums across the country and Canada. ASTC requires that you must live at least 90 miles from the museum you visit. Just one family visit to a science center museum will justify the Preferred Membership fee.
Please Note: The Building for Kids, Inc. and the Fond du Lac Children’s Museum have an agreement limiting ACM reciprocal visits. Each Building for Kids Preferred member can visit the Fond du Lac Children’s Museum twice each year at no charge. Additional visits are half the regular admission price. The same policy is true for Fond du Lac members when visiting The Building for Kids.
Caregiver Add On: $15
Available at Family Membership or Preferred Family level. Caregiver age 15 or older can bring children to The Building for Kids. Caregiver is not entitled to free admission at other museums.
Your Family Can Visit Hundreds of Museums for Only $135
Did you know that when you join The Building for Kids at the $135 Preferred Family level, it entitles you to FREE ADMISSION to hundreds of children's museums and science centers throughout the U.S. and Canada. Through our participation and membership in the Association of Children's Museums and ASTC, not only can you visit our museum as often as you like at no charge, but you can also make the most of your trips throughout the country by choosing to visit hundreds of other museums through the Preferred Membership Program.
