The Building for Kids is a private 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization. We receive no local, state or federal tax support and rely upon generous donors to keep our admissions price and programming affordable for families. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
Every face that lights up at a new discovery, each burst of laughter during pretend play, and every imagination that is sparked by one of our programs is the result of the contributions from people just like you. Please consider a donation to The Building for Kids, Inc. today.
There are many ways to support the Museum:
Every contribution, large or small, one-time or monthly, helps us to keep our permanent exhibits working, bring in exciting traveling exhibits, develop new educational programs and provide opportunities to families who might not be able to afford the Museumıs admission and whose children would miss out on our hands on learning experience.
- We accept cash, check, credit card or stock transfers. (For more information about gifts of securities, please call 920-734-3226).

Our Annual Fund Drive runs from January through December each year. Individual unrestricted donations are vital to support our programs and exhibits.
Permanent and traveling exhibits also require enhancements and periodic maintenance. Is there one area that your favorite young person can never be pulled away from? We would love your help to ensure that all exhibits are the best that they can be to ensure a top notch educational experience!
There are many wonderful traveling exhibits that we'd love to bring to the children of the Fox Valley. Your support can make this possible.
We are committed to offering every child a quality educational experience that will help them grow and build critical foundational skills. For a list of programs that you may sponsor contact Dorrie Hipschman at 920-734-3226 or dhipschman@tds.net.
Family Fun Nights Several times each year the Building for Kids hosts Family Fun Nights of all different themes! Evenings have included SpongeBob Square Pants, Baseball, Little Nut Brown Hare, and so much more!
Scholarships are a year round gift; we want to give every child a way to experience the BFK.
The Building for Kids prefers fund raising events that also advance the mission: Building children’s imagination, creativity and confidence. There are three major fund raising events for which the Museum seeks sponsors:
Spring – Wisconsin’s Biggest Baby Shower
Summer – Appleton Downtown Children’s Parade
Autumn – Boo Bash Halloween Celebration
Each event enables sponsors to receive community recognition and goodwill will giving back to the children of the Fox Valley. Sponsorships are available from $100 to $10,000. For more information on how you or your company can help support The Building for Kids please call Dorrie Hipschman at 920-734-3226.

Corporate partnerships help us enrich the lives of more than 130,000 visitors who walk through our doors each year, and enable the Building for Kids to pilot new educational programs, such as new discovery classes. A great example is our new Menasha Corporation Foundation Preschool Programs which are offered in the 08-09 school year.
