Summer Explorer Camps are themed drop-off camps that run Tuesday – Friday. This is an eight-week series of facilitated skill-building enrichment and free play around the museum.
Who can attend Explorer Camps?
Explorer Camps are designed for students who have completed 4k – 4th grade.
When are Explorer Camps?
Summer Explorer Camps are held Tuesday – Friday. We have both half-day and full-day Summer Explorer Camps available. Half-Day camps run from 9am – 11am and are open to students who have completed 4K – 4th grade. Full-day camps run from 9am – 4pm and are open to students who have completed Kindergarten – 4th grade. Sign up for one week or all eight for a discounted price!
Typical Schedule
- 8:30am – 9:00am: Drop-Off
- 9:00am – 9:30am: Snack (provided by the BFK)
- 9:30am – 10:30am: Exploration Activity
- 10:30am – 11:30am: Open Play in the Museum
- 11:00am – 11:30am: Pick-Up for Half-Day Campers
- 11:30am – 12:30pm: Lunch for Full-Day Campers (Campers must bring their own lunch)
- 12:30pm – 2:00pm: Camper’s Choice (Campers can choose an activity in one of our program spaces)
- 2:00pm – 4:00pm: Open Play inthe Museum
- 3:30pm – 4:00pm: Pick-Up for Full-Day Campers
What do Explorer Camps cost?
- Full-Days (Kindergarten – 4th grade)
- 1 Week: Members = $160 or Non-Members = $200
- All 8 Weeks: Members = $1,200 or Non-Members = $1,520
- Half-Days (4K – 4th grade)
- 1 Week: Members = $80 or Non-Members = $100
- All 8 Weeks: Members = $600 or Non-Members = $760
