May: Tropical Rain Forest May 3-9 Forest Floor – plants, animals, and products from the rain forest.  Make a bromeliad & frog art project. May 10-16 Understory – Birds, snakes, jaguars, leopards live in the forest understory. Make a toucan art project. May 17-23  Canopy – Colorful insects and butterflies. Make your own insect and butterfly projects. May 24-30 Emergent – Monkeys, bats, and eagles live in this highest layer of the forest.  Make your own monkey to take home. May 26 & 27 – Memorial Day Art Projects     June:  Farming May 31-June 6 -  Cows! Cows! Cows! Learn about Wisconsin dairy farmers. Milk a pretend cow. Make a beautiful cow art project. Sample cheese curds, make butter from cream, and make delicious ice cream! June 7-13  - Farm equipment and tools – See farm equipment collection. Learn how equipment helps farmers. Draw a farm machine. Build a tractor with LEGO® bricks. June 14-20 -   Crops and Agriculture.  Witness the miracle of seed growth. Learn what the seeds and plants look like. Paint farm landscapes with watercolors.  Make a “corny” craft project. Make a Father’s Day gift for Dad June 13, 14, and 15.   Flag Day project all day on June 14th. June 21-27   Pizza from a farm? Does pizza come from the freezer or from the farm? Let’s look back to the beginning.  Make your own slice of “pizza” art project. June 28-July 3 -   Animals on the Farm.  Make a red barn and color your favorite animals to put inside. Add an animal to our wall mural.
